The HDH Wills 1965 Charitable Trust (‘the Trust’) was founded by Sir David Wills (1917-1999).

The Trust makes grants to general, environmental and wildlife charities, so long as they are registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales or they are exempt or excepted charities (within the meaning of the Charities Act 2011).

Monthly Grants

  • Monthly grants are made to general charities and those dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and the environment. It is important that the charity will be small enough in size or be applying for support for a modest project, such that the grant will have a meaningful impact
  • Grant decisions made monthly by the investment committee.
  • The grants to successful applicants under this scheme are between £250 and £1,000, and sometimes up to £5,000.
  • These grants total about £100,000 each year
